It is considered as a pro-tumorigenic receptor, as it induces migration of cancer cell and invasion along with tumor neovascularization.

General description

S1P1 (sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1) is one of the transmembrane G protein coupled receptor. It is a member of the endothelial differentiation gene (EDG) family of receptors, hence it is also known as endothelial differentiation gene (EDG-1). It is located on chromosome 1p21.

Immunogen

a 14 amino acid peptide near the carboxy-terminus of the human S1P1.

Linkage

The action of this antibody can be blocked using blocking peptide SBP4809.
